Preparing for Your Hardwood Flooring Installation

When it comes to a successful and efficient hardwood installation, preparation is essential. First, we'll need to first remove all furniture from the rooms in which new hardwood is being installed, emptying any closets as well. We'll also handle the removal & disposal of your existing floors. Once the room is ready, we'll make sure your subfloor is flat and smooth so new hardwood can be safely installed.

During & After Your Hardwood Flooring Installation

An adult member of your household (18 years or older) should be available to greet the installation crew and show them to the work area. For everyone’s safety, keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is done. Feel free to ask your lead installer any questions you might have throughout the process. You may also be instructed to stay off of your finished flooring for a set amount of time to allow any stain or varnish to properly cure. If this is the case, our team will provide detailed instruction.

Once your hardwood flooring is installed, it's up to you to develop a regular care routine that will keep your hardwood looking and performing well for many years. Follow some simple preventative maintenance tips and learn how to properly clean your flooring.
